Rawalpindi was looking to host its fourth ODI since 2006. The whole world was ready for New Zealand’s first visit 18 years.

In a moment, it was all ended before it began. The Black Caps, following a security threat by the New Zealand government, abandoned the tour comprising of three ODIs and three T20Is.

The BLACKCAPS are abandoning their tour of Pakistan following a New Zealand government security alert. Arrangements are now being made for the team’s departure,” the tweet after it ended


The sad news became viral resulted heartbroken reactions from heartbroken Pakistan players, former players, Chairman PCB, fans and followers. Pakistan has tried for days and nights to bring international cricket back to home on a regular basis after 2009, and these results make this a disappointing day for everyone associated with Pakistan cricket.

Despite of fool proof security for Black Caps, the tour couldn’t be saved.

“Extremely disappointed on the abrupt postponement of the series, which could have brought the smiles back for millions of Pakistan Cricket Fans. I’ve full trust in the capabilities and credibility of our security agencies. They are our pride and always will be! Pakistan Zindabad!” tweet Babar.

Ramiz Raja vowed to not let New Zealand forget about this.

Crazy day it has been! Feel so sorry for the fans and our players. Walking out of the tour by taking a unilateral approach on a security threat is very frustrating. Especially when it’s not shared!! Which world is NZ living in??NZ will hear us at ICC,” tweeted Raja.
